Default Do I need to worry about these "leftovers" coming back to life?- see pics

Am clearing an area for a different variety. Orinocos came out -7 P-stems in all, but had some deep ? corms? ...the white chunk with roots WAY down.
And, of course, with all the hacking roots got chopped, etc.
We got the big chunks out, but were planning on leaving the various chopped roots, etc.
If I go putting a dwarf Namwah in, do I need to worry about something rising from the dead? ...that is, the Orinocos coming back with the bits of root left? See pics:

Nice collection of fruit Tree's. Give it a few weeks and see if anything pops up. Then you know what needs to be removed.

Any plant you remove and leave a bit behind is capable of regrowing if you don't want them to do so; that's the gardening Murphy's Law. WF's advice is good. Let your new plants stew in pots for a month or so in good soil and transplant once you're sure the coast is clear.

Plant your new plant and if an old one pops up dig it out. No big deal

That requires careful scrutiny because the OP is planting similar plants. Me? I'm lazy and tend to forget which is why waiting would work best for me. (And I wouldn't have tossed the other plants; I would have potted them up and sold them on CL to help defray costs of the new ones but, besides being lazy, I'm also cheap and I also hate to kill plants.)

Thanks - good eye there. Yes, we have:

Florida Prince Peach
Panamint nectarine
Satsumas: Owari & Seto
Mexican Thornless lime- makes great pies
Apple x 2 kinds
Tennesoee Pear (sp!)
Anjou Pear

Pear Butter (made like Apple Butter) is fabulous. Can a LOT of it.
Now to come up with somehow canning Bananas :-)
