Default Cultivars with long shelf life of fruit

In your opinion, which are the best cultivars to obtain fruit with a long shelf life?

I believe that Island Cassie described Orinoco (if I remember that well) as being "sweet, tasty and edible way after they turned brown." So I guess that's as much to the shelf life to fruit flavor ratio.

Orinoco can be odd. They really have to mature size wise for them to be worth eating. Otherwise, regardless of what state of ripeness, if they are not fully grown they taste quite bland and even awful.

This might not have anything to do with the actual subject but I bought some bananas the other day at Winn Dixie that were on their way to becoming over ripe - for $1. It was a nice bunch of them - in that plastic wrap.

Brought 'em home and shoved them in the fridge.

I'm guessing that they are Grand Naines.

There are so many varieties out there, and this kind of information is not readily available for most of them. I have some varieties with exceptional shelf-life, but cannot think of any common ones which show this. Storage can be extended by keeping them in cooler temperatures (such as an air conditioned room) and by keeping them in out in the open (not in any kind of enclosed box or container).
