So mysore doing great, flowers and stalk dropped completely nice bunch. Goldfinger righy next to it, flowers never dropped off stalk just sitting on it and very bananas that are not really developing or plumping up. Any ideas? Will post some pics in AM.

I added images to show exactly what I am talking about. Should I just trim the stalk under where hands end?

The flowers being retained on the rachis in the first pic is normal, as is the rachis being clean on the other pic. It just depends on the cultivar. Cutting off everything below the last hand is up to you and doesn't make much difference. Leaving it can be useful if there is a question about the identity of the plant. Given the stage of development it does seem like the fruit in the first pic should be more filled out by now. Not enough potassium?

Not enough fert or water? I'm not sure. It should be more plumped, that I'm pretty sure...
Did you have a freeze lately? |

I have been stingy in fert, and probably not applying enough. I put mix I got from going bananas, about one cup every month. Probably light water too. The mysores look ok as do the others even though the flowers browning and rotting on stem looks ugly, glad to hear it is not a big issue. Will cut the stem, no need for ID, 2 I don't know. Have a nice sized goldfinger pup growning next to the mother plant so if this bunch fails miserably will hopefully do better next year. Thanks for the tips, figured it was probably the issue. Any good guidelines on fert regimine?
