I got prune happy yesterday and started hacking stuff back in my food forest area and discovered this when I cut back one of the stems of Goldfinger plant. The stem was bout 5.5ft tall and nearly a year old. I planted it from a tiny tissue cultured plant from Wellspring Gardens.
It has never performed like I felt it should be but it doesn’t get some shade now that my Muntingia and some other adjacent plants are way out pacing. This was the first p stem that came up and it didn’t flower it just seemed not vigorous. Any idea what the dark colored leaf sheaths indicate? The plant had some issues with quasi sickly leaves but only occasionally. The new leaves getting the sun were nice and large. Last edited by Graycat : 08-17-2021 at 06:18 AM. |
