Why oh why does it have to always be a month before my last frost date.
Any way this banana is from a local person. He had 2 banana plants flowering out of 60+, It has a yellow flower (see my avatar) It looked like basjoo. It wasn’t off of the plant that was flowering, but it should have been the same variety. It is really short compared to my other musa basjoos that I got from a person on the fourm. It has a short p stem, look at the pictures:![]() ![]() My hand to compare to: ![]() About a 4ft p-stem: ![]() ![]() ![]() Other pics: ![]() ![]() You can kinda see in the pics that the leaves have been getting smaller and smaller so it has to be a flag leaf. .

Sorry Ante. but Blake's bananas do not look at all like my Basjoos. The growth of his is much more compact than mine. This is my original pad The one in my tropical planter And a still single one near the pond
