Default Spring time for dry root storage

Ok, I'm wondering if I can get some advice. Last fall I pulled over thirty red dwarf and dwarf brazilians out of the ground and stored them dry root. I initially started with them stacked in a basement garage but I noticed them rotting due to it getting too cold. I then hastily moved them to an indoor back room where the furnace is (warmer but no warmer than 65 is my guess). I went and looked at them and they are shells of their former selves. Many have next to no stalk left (they started 4-5 foot) and are dried out pretty good. Some feel soft around the corm which makes me think I've got rot going on. My question is what should I do to get these going? It's still too cold in Michigan do anything other than pot up. The two that I kept potted and overwintered in my living areas are now just starting to perk up an move their cigar leafs at this point which makes me think nows the time to get moving again. Can anyone give some advice? I'm not delusional to think I'll save all of these, but I'd like to keep as many as I can if something will work.

You really need to build a greenhouse! I bring all my dormant bananas out the first week of March and into the greenhouse they go until May.

Would love to help, but I only have one large plant dry rooted and is in a similar condition. it's my first attempt at dry rooting. Would like to get some input on how to wake them up. Is soaking the roots a good idea etc. anything else we should know?

I like tea better, its got more caffeine.
In zone 6 after 5 months of sleep we might need something stronger.
