You have no idea how much I empathize with you zone 5, 6 and 7 folks--BTDT and hated it. Would it make you feel better to know I'm sweating bullets here in shorts and a T? And fighting 25% germination with fresh seeds? And probably losing 25% of what does come up to some unknown bug? (Example? Beans come up--start the 1st 2 leaves and then becomes a stem that just croaks.) Probably not but I really am sorry this winter has been so long and so unpredictable for you guys. No true gardener wishes bad weather on another kindred spirit and I sure don't.
