Default flag leaf need to know care for harvest PLEASE

ok im on the opregon coast ive been trying for about 15 yrs and now i have a banana flagging . whats the best care for my blue Java ? i never thought id get ehre and put the trees in ground 3 yrs ago. best part is they are right next to my compost so wast to get too . alsp best fertilizer how often to water . all advice welcome im just so hyped . i do not want to loose this .
