Mike do you have a pump in your pond, for generating oxygen to the roots, don't see how it could have survived otherwise. Your Dwarf Reds always look in pristine condition👍if you you run out of space i can always give you my postcode, for extra storage😉

Storage....always looking for places to keep and grow the plants and I am out of room.

I will keep you in mind.

The plant was in more of a still water galvanized stock tank with lotus,tropical fish and tree frog tadpoles.
I can toss in a plant cutting and they root just fine.....the environment is pretty healthy.

The aquarium type adjustable powerhead is used aerate the water and create current. Nothing elaborate

Here is an example at 100% flow rate......pretty strong.
The flow rate and air infusion rate are adjustable to your application.

I grew a 'dwarf' red a few years back. It was one of the most robust bananas I ever grew. The p-stem was very thick and strong. The leaves were thicker than any other I had. A gust of wind that would shread most other banana leaves would barely bother my dwarf red. The p-stem was 7 1/2 to 8 ft tall. I wonder what a tall red would be like. I think I had 12 pups or more from that plant. Good luck trying to keep it in a pot.

I have some pics of my Tall Jamaican Reds in my gallery. They were beautiful with amazing fruits that were really fragrant. Tasted like vanilla custard. I removed them because here in So Cal we get Devil winds (Santa Ana winds) that would snap mature healthy plants in half, and usually when they had nice big bunches hanging.

With the cooler temperatures and shorter days the Dwarf red is the first banana to show the change of seasons.
Bordelon is the same way as the oldest leaves yellow as well.
