Naner Novice
I've wanted to dabble in bananas for a while now but had been renting for the last few years. Now that we are in a new house with some planting areas I'm ready to dive in. Most of my plants are in pots for the time being while we make a game plan.
I got a sucker from my wife's friend (also new to the banana game) two months ago but it started doing something weird the other day (Cthulu came out of the pseudostem instead of another cigar leaf). After reading a bit on the interwebs I finally found an answer here... it's a canna not a banana!!  Back to the drawing board I guess.Last edited by Kegas76 : 08-31-2015 at 02:24 PM. |

Check out the farm and garden section of your local Craigslist to find a backyard enthusiast who can sell you something besides the ubiquitous Dwarf Cavendish you'll find at the big box stores. Hope the canna is a nice color.
