Hello all! new to the site and newer to growing bananas. I have a Goldfinger, Ingens, and Ensete that we've planted as we relandscape with tropical plants around our backyard.
We've had the Goldfinger for a few years but it had suffered from some neglect until we recently started fixing up the yard. oh yeah, near Sacramento CA. So Hi! |

Welcome! Hope you find this site helpful. If you have a Musa Ingens you have a rare and hard to grow banana. Good luck with your new landscape.

I figured id try it. The small local nursery had a few live plants. the main stem was dead but it had (3) tiny two leaf pups. It was still like $60. The stems are now about 30" (75cm) tall and there are (4) new pups. debating whether to split them now so they can take hold before winter or wait till next spring.
