Hello,
i've just registered to this forum. I'm living in the south of the Netherlands. I've been growing bananas sinds three years. We've just moved to a new house and i've started over again. At this moment i have some musa sikkimensis of about two meter high and seeded some new species of different kinds. In the foto's you see a musa basjoo flowering that was three years old. Hope to learn a few tricks so that they flower again. Best regards, Patrick |

Welcome Patrick, you must be doing something right to have your plants flower. I'd like to hear more about how you did it. You've found a great spot for all things bananas. There are other growers from your part of the world who will be welcoming you soon. Good luck.

Re: Hello
Hiya Patrick and welcome to the board! Congrats on your Musa basjoo. Just to let you know, there's a bunch of guys from Europe here who have started a thread for networking. It's a good idea you should get into the group. You can check out this thread; http://www.bananas.org/f2/call-europ...bers-7750.html
All the best! ![]() |

Hello Bob,
i've planted the basjoo in homemade compost (al things from the kitchen and the droppings of our rabbit), thats all. A lot of water and some chicken waste (i don't know te right word). Hopefully i get my other bananas to do the same. |
