I tried to overwinter 4 basjoo tc starts outside last year with heavy mulch in zone 6. Mild winter, yet only one survived. Thanks for the thread. Will put my 27 young tc starts indoors for first winter, just to be safe. They do look great outdoors right now but still kinda small. Didn't receive tc starts till June.
