Since we are a little off course from the fishy side; my old place had a big yard and then I was dealing in reptiles.... I use to put dead ones amongst the bed of my plants. Here are just 2 happenings;
#1 - A big dead tortoise made my cannas grow 7ft tall.
#2 - A couple of dead cobras on my Tiger orchid,
Grammatophyllum measuresianum, and it produced 17 spikes with approx 500 flowers.
Looks like basically the decomposition has the right ingredients for plants!
