We use it at work to get information out to the public. It's a neat tool, though I don't use it personally. Essentially it's a way of keeping folks who are following your Twitter account up to speed on what's happening in your life. Some folks update it once an hour with every minute detail of their lives. Others (like we do at work) use it for major announcements. Just another type of Social Networking.
