Default A sucker to be removed or not?!

Here is a picture of a motherstem and its sucker of an unknown banana potted
in a 60L/15.8G plastic container. I am wondering whether or not the sucker
should be removed only for one reason that the growth of the motherstem
and its sucker may break the container as the container is not enough for
both of the motherstem and its sucker to perform normal growth, and thus in order
not to fall between two stools, it may be better that the sucker shall be
sacrificed even though it would give the motherstem much stresses.
