soil is a big problem here if i want to grow any thing i have to dig out all the dirt to the largest diameter that the plant will require at maturity that makes a big hole for Bananas the soil here is highly contaminated with toxic levels of borax Cati can tolerate it but not much ells if we water every day you can wash some of it out but you know where that gets you! so replacing the dirt is the only way to get plants to grow also the soil here in my yard is mostly hard packed coble sand iv been slowly getting rid of it i would have replaced it all except theres no place to put the old dirt and no one wants my kind of soil and you cant put it in the trash they wont take it so were to go with it is a problem but I'm working hard on coming up with a solution. on the bright side i almost never have to weed!!! lol
