Question What the heck is this thing?!

Can anyone tell me what this is. The lady who gave it to my wife had no idea what it was. She got it in TX. but I don't know that it is native to there, probably not. My wife said it grows almost like a vine but is very heavy. It is growing in a large pot and drapes over the sides and has very small root ball. The leaves are succulent like. Almost the texture of a Jade yet very glossy. The leaf shape reminds me of the Tea Cup Elephant Ear. Any clues??-Nate
