Sometimes it just doesn't work, as I have found on numerous occasions.

However, as Iowa mentioned, file size is an issue and if you try to post a pic that is too big, it won't tell you that, it just doesn't post.

I generally use Microsoft Office Picture Manager and compress the pics for web pages and that size seems to be a good balance of viewability and manageability. I am sure most picture editing software has a similar function.
