Default already fruitified plant corm for macropropagation?

Hey nanners! I been asking myself quite a bit this question.....can you wait to harvest the bananas and then dig this finished corm up to make macropropagation? Or you have to do it with a "young" one?

Cheers! Y muchas gracias desde Espaņa!
