Default Re: Care for red banana tree

Red Banana?!? I think that is a very common moniker for a number of plants. If one looks on the wiki, there are a lot of plants with red in the name. Maybe I am missing something, but I am not familiar with one particular Musa variety identified as such. I often see E. ventricosum 'Maurelii' in nurseries labeled as 'Red Banana'

A bit more clarity on the ID might help. Posting a pic is always better than not.

Where/how did you get it?

Are you putting it in the ground or in a container. Do you live in a mild climate zone or a colder one?

I am assuming, based on what you posted, it will be in all day sun? But maybe not, let us know.

The more information you can give us, the better the group will be able to help.

Cheers and good luck
