Coarse not clumping cat litter
Grit
Way cheaper than Perlite but not as light,
Are these ok to mix with
Peat moss/ potting soil?
or to put it in the ground to aid draining
Thanks in advance

I have used grits and shells in my bonsai and cactus mix only.
Cat litter will ruin your mix once it breaks down to mush.
I know perlite is somewhat pricey in small bags.
Check out the Hydroponic stores in Mississauga they have the big economical bags for sale at a friendly price.
I purchase the 113L (4cubic ft) bags for 28.00 US.
This is enough to nicely amend a 4cuft bag of peatmoss
In addition you may get a bag of LUMP charcoal at the big box and bust it up and use it in your mix also.....double whoohoonanner.
Charcoal and perlite will make your mix awesome.
