Finally they are starting to ripen! its been around 16 weeks since the flower appeared, oct 8 - jan 30. not as short as I wished, but it didn't have the best temp either while it was ripening. it went down to low 40s sometimes, now I'am keeping the temps up a little higher since we have tomatoes in the greenhouse. try not let it get below 55 but 60 is my goal. this morning the temp outside was 8, not as low as the Northern States!

And I could'nt resist so had to try it! even tho it's a little under ripe.
I had a DC that the bunch broke before completely filling out so that is what I was comparing with and my memory.

I would say it had a neat tart flavor to it. not sure what else to say since that was the most distinct difference I noticed.
next time I try one I'll think more while I'am eating it I was very impressed with the orange/pinkish color and trying a new banana that I didn't think enough about it.
When I try a ripe one I'll try give a better flavor report.
