Can't say I am doing things correct but most of my bananas are in pots and I've gotten around 10 + bunches already.
I do feed a little more potassium once it blooms. (Not much). Everything else I do is about the same as before, (not as much N) I've been learning more since I started so I didn't do everything in the beginning the way I do now.
I would not be worried about the fruit setting. My first bloom took about 1/2 year till it was ripe but it was over winter in the greenhouse so wasn't perfect settings. I think the shortest I got so far with Cavendish is 5 months.
