Are they Thai Black by any chance? That happens a lot with my Thai Black seedlings usually when they are stressed in some way - could be an issue with the roots. If you lift them and see if they are dry or if you have transplanted them recently. They usually recover quickly.

Richard - Onion sets I start outside so too with garlic, I wouldn't do that with banana seeds. So how is it the same? We don't all live in California. Do edible bananas even produce seeds?
