Could be too much nitrogen fertilizer causing the leaves to grow too fast. This should be evidenced by a twisted cigar leaf too.
The red/pink/purple coloring is the grow lights. I have had this plant indoors since September 2017. It has been overall healthy with a new leaf every 2 weeks. I will be preparing to move it outside in a few weeks.

I had a feeling the nitrogen levels could be causing this. A new cigar coming up binding current leaf.
