Yes ever year when I bring in my palms from outside to inside the house they always get spider mites no matter what ,so I take them in the garage when this happenes spray avid all over and even on the trunk of the palm and spray very lightly the top of the soil as well and about 2 days latter they are gone,,,Oh when spraying Avid try to not breath it in cause it is not very good for ya,,I would love not to use harsh chemicals on plants or in the enviorment but the safe or organic just does not do the trick most of the time.Both my foxtail palm are 8 feet plus and my 3rd one is 4 feet tall,,remember heat is the key to good growth when it comes to these palms!!Take care-Jason.
