Default Hi from TN

Hi, my name is Mark. I live in east TN. I have been growing subtropical plants including bananas in my yard for 11 years now. I have tried many different kinds to see if they would survive our winters here unprotected. I grow a lot of them from seeds. Everything was going good for me up to four years ago when a unknown illness hit me and I was not able to take care of my plants. I lost a whole lot of them during those couple of real cold winters we had. This is the first year since then that I have felt normal and have started working back on my yard again. Before my illness hit me I had 9 types of bananas growing in the yard in the ground. I only have 4 types to survive since I was not able to take care of them. Musa Basjoo, Musa Sikkimensis Daj Giant, Musa Mekong Giant, and Musa Itinerans. I have several more types from seeds planted.
