Thanks to Rob for keeping this thread alive. Here are a couple bunches that I harvested last month -- nothing this month except a couple of blowdowns that weren't close to filled.
Dwarf Brazilian, 37 lb., 116 fingers:
"Brazilian" (tall Pome purchased as Manzano, might be Brazilian, or perhaps some other Pome variety): 19 lb., 75 fingers:
The difference in bunch size between the tall Pome varieties (I have three, none obtained as Pome varieties, all misidentified) and Dwarf Brazilian (a dwarfed Pome variety) is pretty consistent in my yard. Dwarf Brazilian makes bigger bunches for me, for whatever reason. The flavor is indistinguishable to me and everyone I've given them to. DB plants in my yard average about 9' of p-stem, whereas the tall varieties average about 16'. The tall ones sometimes get blown down, the DB p-stems never have.
