Default To cut the pups now or later

Hi All,
I've got a 6 mo. old Cali gold banana plant....It's approx. 6' tall, 14 leaves and 3 pups.
The pups are approx. 6 wks. old and 1' tall. They all are in a 18 gal. pot.
Should I cut the pups away from the mother plant and pot now or let them continue to grow thru the winter. The container they're all in will be brought inside into a climate controlled room within the next couple weeks..no later than 10th. of October, depending on weather.
I am in Virginia ....zone 7.
The daily temps here are still in the mid to high 70's with nighttime lows high 50's low 60's.
Any and All suggestions are greatly appreciated.
