Seems no one ever responded to this so I'll put in my 02.

It doesn't make a molehill of difference usually if you cut it or leave it on, so I'd say just do whichever one suits your fancy. Some people cut it because they think it looks neater, some leave it on because they like the little flowers and the nectar attracts pollinating insects.

Completely up to you; congrats on just getting it to flower

P.S. How long did it take, and what growing conditions did you use?
