I guess for good seed production in M. basjoo you will need to M. basjoo clones. When both flower you do crosspolination by hand and then you should get viable seeds. Offcourse you will need a long warm growingseason. I had ones M. basjoo also under glass here in The Netherlands and it flowered there easely. It was always warm there the whole year. But never setting any seeds. Other Musa like Musa velutina however seeds itself arround there. It seems that some Musa are selffertil while others are not.
