Maclura pomifera is dioecious, so it appears you now need to propagate one of the opposite sex. And since they are from the Moraceae (fig and mulberry) family, you should be able to do this by rooting some cuttings of a plant from the woods. Consider this: you obtained a fruit with seeds -- so the fruit came from a female and the male is somewhere nearby.
