Sure did. My mother had colon cancer; she didn't pass from it (massive brain bleed) but, as her medical rep, I was very involved in her treatment (only surgery--1 colon and 2 liver resections) for several years. Her initial surgery was at a "non profit" hospital--horrid place where money was King and she left after a month with a roaring case of C-Diff so was back for 3 weeks 2 weeks later. (BTW, I was told she had less than 6 months to live.)
When it recurred 2 years later, I found Lombardy and a superb surgeon; her last surgery was at NIH. (She was too old and had too many other issues to be in clinical trials.) The latter 2 institutions wanted to learn and didn't try to kick me out when I asked if I could walk her in the ICU but instead set up her lines and let us go. Perhaps soursop would have saved her additional surgeries; it would not have prolonged her life because cancer was not why she died.
I have little faith in the cancer protocols in this country.
ETA: My mother passed the LA bar 2 months after turning 21. She was a law abiding citizen but she believed that marijuana should be legal.
