Actually by leaving the pits in the mix you end up a touch of almond flavor and a beverage very close, IMO, to Cherry Heering. That and Brass Monkey (not the drink but a green chartreuse of sorts that would knock you over) are 2 memories from college; I'm not sure I want to know how to make the latter or should...
