Has anyone in the more northern sections of FL or CA (zone 9) tried growing Nanking cherries? They're relatively inexpensive plants that produce small (nearly all pit) fruits that make great jams and a killer cordial (soak them in vodka). Growing them would be pushing the zone hard but sometimes it works. (BTW, if anyone has seeds or seedlings, I am very interested in obtaining some.)
