okay that helps and the top is drying out turning brown (which is normal) yet it looks like there's no way for a leaf to push out of it if I leave it as is will it eventually pop out or should I cut it at an angle to help it? because I haven't cut it another inch yet but if I do I was thinking of doing it at an angel so it can push out easier from the dry part.
any thoughts would be helpful!
