Default Help! Two banana tress fell over with unmature bananas....what do I do?

With the heavy rains last weekend (15' to be exact), two of the banana trees fell over that had a huge load of bananas on each one. I know I am not using the right terminology here, but yall get the picture. The leaves of the trees are turning yellow. The bananas are green and still slightly square....gosh they were so pretty. I don't know what kind I have, only that they produce good sweet bananas.
Can I cut the stalk of bananas off, maybe put a piece of PVC pipe over the end of the stalk, hang it like it normally hangs and feed it till they finish filling out?

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Margaret
