Default Re: swop banana plants musa banana

I just removed a second pup off my 6 1/2 foot tall basjoo mother plant today and cut a good healthy chunk of corm off to along with the pup. Now my main mother plant is particularly fragile and wobbly in the soil. I packed it down and gave it a watering with some fertilizer but I am a bit worried it may go into some sort of stress now not being "anchored" well into the soil. I removed its first pup around 4th of July on the opposite side of the plant. I am just hoping it regrew itself in the past two months to sustain this pup I just removed. Although the corm was very big and the mother psudostem was at least the width of my leg lol I am still a bit nervous and hope I dont loose my biggest plant in my garden. Should I not really worry?
