Be careful around them though, they can be pretty quick with those bills and we've seen them kill a full grown fox with one strike.

Wow ---- will do some research on the sandhill crane. Had lunch last week with 4 of them. Taco joint in Ft Pierce sitting at an outdoor picnic table. They just stare at you and your food. Tossed them a piece of lettuce - no interest. The onions they gobbled.
