Re: Those of you in Zone 5, have any of you gotten your plants to fruit?
I'm only a year and some change into this whole affair, but I'm fairly certain that a bloom in Zone 5 will take some ingenuity. I will be moving my plants indoors for the winter (obviously) but I'll be putting them under grow lights in the basement for the duration to promote more growth, even if at a slower rate.
I suspect my only chance for fruit is going to be a combination of winter grow lights and just dumb luck that the flower comes very early in the summer and has all the outside time it needs to ripen before coming in/down in the fall.
That being said, unless you have a lot higher ceilings than I do, my best bet is going to be with obtaining some superdwarf varieties that I can keep in containers the entire lifespan of the flowering P-stem.
Good luck! Keep us posted on any progress!
