I need help with soil suggestions since I will attempt to grow them in the tires like I did with the potatoes as some of you may remember.
Any advice would truly be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I usually grow sugars for eating and then "something else" for Halloween - giants, ghost or whatever else looks interesting. And I find them relatively easy to grow, just plant and water....but then our soil is pretty good and does not need any "extras". You would definitely have to start with plants of a good size if you start now and you could try the tires. A good soil mixture would be a must - I find black earth works well mixed with a little manure, but not too much or it can burn in such a confined area - lots of sun and water regularly......and plenty of room for them to spread (some of the vines I have will eventually reach to the back fence, about twenty feet away from the plant)
