If they have a sound piece of corm the size of a walnut they will for sure, no roots necessary.
If the size of the corm goes down to filbert, I have no idea, but I would try for sure, what can
you loose?

Just let us know, how you make out (with the bananas of course).

I would be interested about your success, if the corm was really small.
