The depth of the corm really doesn't determine that. If you want it to pup simply add a lil root stimulator to your mix and believe you me it will pup.. The main thing however is that your plant is healthy. Ice creams will pup eventually they are just slower/smarter(?) at pupping compared to the likes of DC especially and others that pup alot.
