Default Dwarf Cavendish

Hey everyone, I'm new here. I got a Dwarf Cavendish around 3/21 and got it potted:


And today, it looks like this:



I'm assuming that as the plant grows the leaves will die off and need to be cut as I never see any fully grown with leaves all the way at the base. I'm excited to see if it will ever fruit, which may be hard seeing as I am in Montana so it will be overwintered inside. I may switch it to hydroponics once I'm done moving. Any advice on growing nanners will be much appreciated!
