Party Banana/Musa a bromeliad, right?

I have scoured the net and can't find an answer to this...Musa is technically a bromeliad, isn't it? Could the ones who know elaborate botanically for me, I'd really like to know the scientific explanation if possible. Thanks fellow banana
enthusiasts!
