Thanks for the kind words guys!

I don't have any idea if there are different types of Maurelli, or if its simply individual genetics. This is the first and only one I've grown so far, and I'm very satisfied ($10.99).

Not sure how I'll overwinter it yet, but most of my overwintered plants have taken far too long to grow at a decent speed, although 6 months indoors takes it's toll. My basjoos all either died or took forever to get started and are now still quite small. It almost makes sense to start with new plants each year. Hopefully next year, if it survives, the Maurelli will grow tall, not fat!

For the record it is in Miracle Grow "Organic" mixed with extra perlite and peat moss, with a total of 2 feedings of Miracle Grow Tomato food (20-20-20) this summer.

Miracle Grow "Organic" makes me think of McDonalds "Healthy" - somehow it doesn't add up!!!
