The Thailand Giant will get big in one season, but even with a big bulb I think people have had a lot of trouble overwintering them except in the ground, mulched in zone 8 or higher. Alocasias work well as houseplants, so put a little size on it inside until the weather warms up, then plant it out and plan on making it into a potted plant for next winter indoors.
