The fact, that I don't know a thing about a subject, has never deterred me from voicing my opinion on it.
So here it is: If there is any danger, that in your outdoors are any goats, deer, rabbits or any other critters
capable of chomping your little plants off in one bite, I would protect them in a pot until they are big enough,
that a Hippo needs at least two bites to do away with any one of them.
