I hope its doing just that! I am not too worried yet as only the new growth of the cigar was dying back while the pseudostem remains almost intact with just a couple of cm dieback at the top at most. I remove the dead tissues around the cigar by gently pulling them away so as not to damage more live tissues and cause more dieback. That way i keep it from getting jammed from the shrinking dead tissues arround it and its pushing,just hasnt pushed enough to reveal any live tissues yet unfortunately...Looking forward to healthy new growth!!!
